Exciting news!! I was contacted by St. Joan of Arc on Tuesday and they told me that a lady from The Catholic Sun wanted to interview me about our team. I did about a 30min interview with Ambria Hammel (Staff Writer) that evening! I told her all about our team, our training, the fundraising, details about our parish and details about our conference SVDP involvment & pantry. I also gave her full details on statistics about how we help in our conference community.
She said that there are a number of Catholic groups formed in the valley to do the race but that ours seemed very detailed and involved. Which she seemed very impressed with and she was also impressed with this blog site. The article should be published in the January 15th edition of The Catholic Sun Newspaper & it should also be in their blog sometime around that date. Ambria said that she may even put some pictures of us & our training on their blog. I am checking their blog daily and I will inform you if I see it on there.
